Who we are and what we are doing?

This website is for the volunteers involved in the networks that have evolved out of the house building projects in Cambodia, led by Jim and Elaine Pollock (who were initially part of Mike and Corinne Gurry's team).

We want this place to inform, connect and motivate this group of people for whom Cambodia is a meaningful part of their life.

With the current travel restrictions and uncertainty of COVID 19 we are wanting to continue with some fundraising projects that will help keep our ties with Cambodia meaningful and also to assist them through this time.  We would like to support the following three areas:

  • Tabitha Australia
  • Addheka's Aid Projects of Mercy
  • Chumkriel Language School (CLS)

Over the next 6 months after consultation with Addheka and John Quilty (CLS) we will identify some specific projects that we can contribute towards.

We are inspired by the work of this group - finding their own way to change lives in Cambodia and here. This site is for you. Please keep us informed of any small steps or big steps on your journey so it can be shared with those who care

Latest News...

December 2021

Book sales have now covered the cost of printing, with over half the books still available for sale. From here, 100% of book sales go to the Tabitha Family Savings Program. Books are $35.00 ($40 posted), and can be bought through Jim Pollock. (contact on 0409 295 311)

Jim and Kevin would like to thank the many people involved with various parts of this project: Wes Sim, Steve Inouye and Rod Slater from Rotary for support with printing costs; Paul Morrison (West Coast Eagles chaplain) for singing his inspirational songs for us at the launch; Emma Cork and Billie Bennett-Smith and Elaine for speaking at the launch; Paul Reilly ("The Bald Nomad out and about") for his video production on the night; Judy and Bob Jackson and Sharon King for selling books on the night; the 7th Avenue Bar and Restaurant in Midland for making the function room free for the night.

A supporter of the cause, Paul Reilly, has produced an excellent video of the book launch at the 7th Avenue on 2 December 2021 - see below. Paul does a lot of travelling around and incorporates his own drone footage, video recordings, music, interviews to make interesting videos which you can find on his Youtube Channel.
