Project information
(as In 2002 the KSL Mercy Home Project (KSL is the Khmer School of Language of which Addheka is director) was established as one of our initiatives to help poor Cambodian people. The project was set up by KSL's founder, Mrs Agnes Verner, in consultation with Ms Addheka SengBou, Executive Director of KSL, and Mrs Leaksmy Rebok, Dean of Studies. The project has grown and become the KSL Aid Project of Mercy (APM).
The Aid Project of Mercy has expanded to reach people in Battambang, Takeo, Kampot and Kampong Speu provinces and Phnom Penh and Preah Sihanouk municipalities. Funds raised go primarily to help participating families with the costs of going to school - equipment uniforms as well as some emergency help with food. Families live close to the edge financially and ASPM's work makies it more likely students will continue with their education - the most likelt path out of poverty for the family.
